Days of PURPOSEFUL Thankfulness – Day #55

Note: Refer to day number 1 (July 25, 2015 post) if you don’t know what this is all about.

I don’t know about you but I am so grateful for the ability to learn new things! Last night I started my 1st class online through the St. Louis Community College for my certification in grant writing and it was absolutely invigorating! Life would be just a bit of a bore, don’t you think, if learning stopped after you completed the 12th grade or college? That wouldn’t help us a bit when it comes to the need to learn for new job opportunities, or how to learn the skills for a new hobby or other interests. What if our brains had limited power or limited storage like computer memory? Many of us don’t take full usage of our brains; we don’t stretch ourselves. We feel like we can’t remember much because we don’t exercise them enough, especially if we don’t feel we need to with the use of technology to remember things for us. But think about it…the possibilities we have really are limitless if we actually purposed to use the brains God gave us. Perhaps we don’t all retain the same types of information but I believe we are all wired to retain and recall information beyond measure. You don’t think so? What was the last song you found yourself singing and had no idea you knew the song? The mind is a powerful thing. Thank God for your ability to learn!
