Natural Light.
Imagine
that it’s day time but there is absolutely no sun in the sky, even on a cloudy
day there is no sun hiding anywhere in the sky. Now switch your vision to night
time and imagine there are no stars in the sky however there is a moon. But
without the existence of the sun behind that moon there is no difference
between this completely dark night and the day that has no existence of the
sun. What would define the difference between the night and the day? Could your
mind even fathom such an existence? I am truly amazed at how everyday without
fail the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. I am awed to see times
when the moon is so bright in the sky with a backdrop of darkness and stars and
YET the moon gives us no light but the sun behind it gives us the glow that we
so admire. I am truly grateful for being able to flip a switch on the wall and get
light. And I am grateful for the light poles that line the streets at night. But
there is absolutely nothing like living on a planet that has a night and a day;
just the right amount of light sits in the sky. Oh, and can you imagine what our
skin would be like if we never had natural light? Yes, we can supplement but
there is nothing like that natural vitamin D. Be grateful for the natural light
we experience without even considering its benefits or what life would be like
without it.
We all hope to learn from our own experiences but there are those times when we also glean from others. These lessons offer great opportunities for stimulating our minds or emotions to a higher level: inspiration. Life itself is full of inspiration, whether it's from witnessing the simplicity or complexity in nature or finding valuable lessons in the things we encounter on a daily basis. Ultimately the hope is that inspiration evokes positive change in our lives on a daily basis.
